What color rug would you use with claret red parson chair slipcovers?

I have purchased some claret red slipcovers to go over my parsons chairs. The base of the table is a cream color. The table top is long rectangular gl. The linoleum is a cream color as well. What color rug would you put under that? I have purchased some coffee-themed table mats (my kitchen is coffee themed with many different colors).
