How do you get rid of a freeloader?

My friend and i rent a house and have a freeloading guy staying with us. I gave him a week to get out and he basically laughed at me. The week is now up and he's still here, both of us want him gone. I was wondering if theres anything i can do like possibly go to the police? i would callthe landoard but he sill hasn't fixed all the stuff we asked him to fix last time we called so the probablity of him doing something is nill. what kind of options do i have? i mean he has legit belongings like a flat screen and dressers. i dont want to be responsible for stolen items if i throw everything on the street. any options?
